GMSR Welcomes Mitchell Garmany and Edward Tao as Appellate Fellows!

We’re thrilled to welcome Mitchell Garmany and Edward Tao as our newest appellate fellows.

Mitchell, a Berkeley Law graduate, earned class awards in Election Law and Criminal Procedure: Adjudications.  He gained hands-on advocacy experience with the California Department of Justice, where he drafted appellate briefs and successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal.  Mitchell was also recognized as a Regional Finalist and as Distinguished Advocate in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Edward, a Cornell Law graduate, was an Honors Fellow in Cornell’s Lawyering Program and recipient of multiple CALI Awards.  He advanced to the Round of 16 in the Cuccia Moot Court Competition and the Round of 32 in the Langfan Moot Court Competition, demonstrating his advocacy skills.  Edward served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Karen Stevenson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
