Edward Tao recently joined GMSR as an Appellate Fellow. In this role, Edward assists the firm’s attorneys by conducting legal research, cite-checking briefs and motions, and helping them prepare for oral argument.
Edward earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School where he was selected as an Honors Fellow for the Lawyering Program and earned several CALI Awards for excellence. During law school, Edward also competed in multiple moot court competitions and served on the boards of both the Cornell Moot Court and the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Before joining GMSR, Edward externed for the Honorable Karen L. Stevenson at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He also interned at ZMO Law in New York, where he worked on civil rights and criminal defense matters.
In his free time, Edward enjoys surfing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, collecting records, and watching movies.
