GMSR partners David Hackett and Stefan Love kicked off this year’s ASCDC Annual Seminar with the highly anticipated Year in Review, covering the most important California and federal appellate decisions of interest to the civil defense bar.

The next day, partner Ted Xanders joined a distinguished panel for Combatting Improper Arguments at Trial: Golden Rule, Reptiles, and Everything In Between—which provided tips and strategies on how defense counsel can use pre-trial motions and trial objections to counter improper plaintiff arguments.

Then, at the seminar’s Friday luncheon, ASCDC President Alice Chen Smith honored Ted with the Patrick A. Long President’s Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the organization and his long service as Co-Chair of the ASCDC Amicus Committee.  GMSR congratulates Ted on this well-deserved honor.
