GMSR secured an appellate victory for its clients, a remodeling company and its principals, in a case involving a subcontractor’s employee injured on a residential construction project. The trial court applied the Supreme Court’s Privette doctrine, barring liability for injuries sustained by employees of independent contractors.
The Court of Appeal affirmed, finding no triable issue of fact and rejecting claims that an exception to Privette applied, preserving the clients’ summary judgment win in full.
