McCormick-Gordon v. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Jan. 24, 2005, B172622) 2005 WL 236558 [nonpublished opinion]

The Court of Appeal affirmed summary judgment for GMSR’s client Cedars-Sinai in a medical malpractice action, holding that plaintiff’s expert, a general surgeon, could not testify to the standard of care about a specific urological procedure and rejecting application of the res ipsa loquitur doctrine because the specific medical procedure was not a matter of common knowledge.
