Dearing v. De Mille (Nov. 14, 2012, B234769) 2012 WL 5504898

GMSR secured an affirmance for its respondent client in a trust dispute involving efforts to avoid collection on a judgment.  An heir attempted to disclaim his inheritance under a family trust, but the probate court held—and the Court of Appeal agreed—that the disclaimer did not shield assets passing through a subtrust after the second settlor’s death.  The Court of Appeal also rejected challenges to related interim and post-trial orders, leaving the client’s win intact.
