Greines, Martin, Stein and Richland LLP (GMSR) is proud to announce that Gary Wax has become the firm’s newest partner, following eight years as an associate and two years as a law clerk with the firm.
As an appellate lawyer, Gary represents a wide range of corporate and private clients in both civil appeals and writ proceedings, including insurers, property owners, employers, public entities, bankruptcy creditors, and trademark-holders. He also regularly advises trial counsel on record preservation issues, drafting jury instructions and post-trial motions.
Before becoming a lawyer and joining GMSR, Gary worked as a film-industry executive developing and acquiring feature films for Oscar winning producers and distributors. He received a B.F.A. from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles.
GMSR, which has offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, is one of the nation’s leading civil appellate law firms. Its appellate lawyers have extensive experience and success in handling cases in the United States Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, and in federal and state appellate courts across the country.
Los Angeles Business Journal’s March 19, 2018 issue profiles Gary in its “People on the Move” section.
