Cabral v. Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (1998) 66 Cal.App.4th 907

The Court of Appeal affirmed the trial court’s ruling in favor of GMSR’s client, holding that the uninsured driver plaintiff was statutorily barred from recovering noneconomic damages for injuries sustained during operational use of an uninsured vehicle when the injuries resulted from opening a car door to exit the parked vehicle.
