Second District Court of Appeal receives Kleps Award for appellate self-help clinic
GMSR is proud to have played a role in the development and operation of a program of the Second Appellate District that has received the Ralph N. Kleps Award for Improvement in the Administration of the Courts. The award, conferred by the Judicial Council, celebrates contributions to the administration of justice. The Second District received the award for creating “the first formal state court clinic anywhere for unrepresented appellate litigants, in the courthouse, where people can drop in for assistance and reassurance.” See a video describing the program, which includes comments by GMSR partner Robin Meadow.
